"We approached Butlers Consultancy in July 2008, with a requirement to supply professional co-workers to work with our existing Cashiers at intermittent intervals for evenings and weekends, during our catalogue launch. It was a new experience for IKEA Edmonton to consider this approach, and wanted to support a local business.
After inviting Georgina, the Account Manager to discuss our ideas, we shared with her the values of IKEA, Competence Profile and also to view the operation and environment of the Store. We developed a training plan for the Cashiers, to help them become successful in the role and ensure that our customers have a individual customer experience to IKEA.
I am pleased to say that Butlers have responded in a proactive and supportive way to provide cover at peak times in a cost effective manor.
